The revived “Californians” sketch on the SNL 40th Anniversary was supposed to be the cake with Bradley and Betty’s liplock the icing… but it was really the other way around. I think this made everyone’s night… especially Betty’s.
They name-check a pretty extensive list of Saturday Night Live’s greatest hits(bits)… and it’s staggering.
WATCH Mike Myers’ return to Saturday Night Live
If there’s one guy that matches Kim Jog Un in the “wacky bad guy” department, it’s Dr. Evil.
Watch the women of SNL rapping about being home for Thanksgiving
“Back Home Baller” serves as a nice sequel to “(Do It On My) Twin Bed,” especially the callback to Jean.
WATCH SNL’s take on the Jay-Z and Solange elevator fight
They have the audio, of course. Hilarious and brilliant, and an appearance by Maya Rudolph is a bonus!
WATCH Barbara Walters finally appear on Saturday Night Live
After almost 40 years of spoofing her, she finally stopped by the show to appear on Weekend Update
On oldie but a goodie.
SO COOL. SEE a backstage time-lapse of an entire episode of SNL
It’s a whole show in 2 minutes, and it’s fascinating to see how effectively Saturday Night Live is able to use a relatively small studio for a show with so many set changes. P.S. This appears to be from last weekend’s Anna Kendrick episode, which you can see in its entirety here (sans a couple of sketches they can’t put online because of rights issues).
WATCH Lena Dunham and the SNL cast skewer Scandal
I don’t even watch Scandal, but still thought this sketch was spot-on brilliant because the show is known for it’s ridiculous twists and turns. Hilarious.
