Meet the players in this year’s Puppy Bowl

I’ve always known that Animal Planet does their Puppy Bowl every year on the same day as the Super Bowl, but I never realized the great attention to detail they’ve given it to make it seem like a legit sporting event… including ESPN-like profiles highlighting the players.  Hilarious and adorable.

No joke here: these “elves” help some homeless people wake up to Christmas with all the trimmings

Roman Atwood has made a name for himself on YouTube pulling off some pretty great pranks.  His latest prank, though, isn’t about getting a laugh.  Instead, these “elves” show up while some homeless people are sleeping to leave a Christmas tree and presents.  It’s really cute, and should cancel out the negativity of the kids complaining on Twitter that Santa (or their parents) got them the wrong iPhone.

This Peanuts Christmas Dance is the Best. Flash. Mob. Ever.

Somewhere Charles Schultz is on a stage saying into a sideways-held microphone, “This is how to properly stage a flash mob!” before dropping the mic and confidently strutting off the stage.

Watching this video will make you appreciate what you have

A 20-year-old with Down Syndrome named Rion Holcombe found out he was accepted to attend college at Clemson University.  If you don’t have a warm and fuzzy feeling after watching this, then you’re dead inside.  Is somebody chopping onions in here?

Grab a hankie:  This Widower re-created his wedding photos with his young daughter

A man named Ben Nunery lost his wife Ali to cancer 2 years ago.  Before he moved out of their house, he asked his wedding photographer Melanie Tracy Pace (who happens to be Ali’s sister) to re-create/re-imagine some of their wedding pix with his and Ali’s daughter Olivia.

The results are more of a “happy, uplifting” sad as opposed to a “wow that’s horrible” sad, probably because we can all see the road of many opportunities ahead for the 3-year old daughter.  You can check out the rest of the pix on Ben’s blog (beware, since this has gone viral, it takes awhile to load).  The pix come via Melanie Tracy Pace/Loft3 Photography (her page is down completely at the moment, also likely due to the web traffic).
