This Black Burger is NOT burned and NOT made using dyes

This only-in-Japan Burger King menu item is made by smoking the buns and cheese with bamboo charcoal.  The sauce gets its black-ness by adding squid ink. It’s ironic that the lightest color in this picture is of the hamburger patty (which while not as black in color, DOES contain black pepper).
